Anyone have anything to say about these 2 mining supply folks?
I was looking for some gear recently and called Armadillo. The guy on the other end of the phone seemed to be........um, I guess I'll use the word distracted. He finally confessed that there was a bunch of people in his shop and that it would be better to call back later. My first thought was that if it was THAT busy, why did he answer the phone in the first place?
Well, I then called Rita's Relics (who had a booth at the Douglas Gold show). She took the time to talk to me and answer my questions. Even volunteered a discount (substantial I might add, compared to the price I saw at Armadillo) due to the fact that I was a member of DCPA.
I would have preferred to give my business to some one closer to me. (Grants Pass compared to Sweet Home), but customer service won out.

I have bought a lot of goodies at the armidillo. The guys are knowlagable and helpfull. I have seen the place very busy, They do there best to help every one. The prices are good also. For a small shop they have alot of merchandise. I would Give them a second chance. _________________ BigDog,

I do ALL of my business with Rita, they seem to allways have an answer to my questions and offer club discounts. If they don't have it in stock , they can usually get fairly fast and at a good price. I have had a couple of bad experiences with Armidillo since Lisa died , and I dont care to spend any more of my hard earned money with them. Gary _________________ D.C.P.A. Chapter President. |

Ritas' it is then! Gotta love that club discount too. There was a problem with my order due to Keene Engineering(these guys really need a spell checker and grammar lesson the next time they print a catalog or anything else BTW).
Well Rita made it right and called me several times to make sure it was all good. |

Where and when is the gem and mineral show? We may try to make it.

The Gem and Mineral Show is Sept. 6-7 at the Douglas County Fairplex, same building as the gold show. _________________ D.C.P.A. Chapter President. |

Is there going to be a decent 'gold' presence there? Similiar vendors as the excellent Douglas county gold show?
