I heard you can not dredge from the mouth of the applegate down any more. I also heard there is posting that say you can not dig or even PAN above the current water level. Is that even possible. How can straighten me out. Can you dredge above applegate anymore or not?

I spent some time with Bruce Beatty at the Puyallup Gold Show and he made me aware of the fact that Wild and Scenic or Endangered Salmon Habitats that were closed to motorized prospecting is illegal. All State Forests, BLM, National Forests are mineral reserves. They are held for us to prospect on. That is stated in the 1866 mining rules. Even congress cannot change them. My dredge is going back in the river on May 01,2009 and I hope the Forest Service is there to do something about it.
