New 49ers on the WarpathAs most of you know, the prospecting community has been in a fight with the enviromentalists and the Karuk Indians to stop dredging for gold in California. This is only the first step in stopping dredging everywhere.Now it's our turn. The New49ers(Dave McCracken)and their lawyers are ready to fight back. If CDFG denies our petition then we will sue fish and game to stop this nonsense. There is no precedent in law for them to treat one group any different than others. This fishery is totally unregulated and unmonitored. We are reluctantly doing this, but have no choice since the tribe continues to sue every other natural resource user, especially miners.
